Philadelphia, PA – While poll after poll shows growing support from Pennsylvanians for tackling climate change, many concerned citizens don't realize that transportation is the second-largest source of climate pollution in the state. But a new report from PennEnvironment Research & Policy Center and Frontier Group describes how Pennsylvania can build a zero-carbon transportation future -- all while cleaning our air and creating safer, healthier communities.
Environment America Research & Policy Center is submitting comments on behalf of 102 organizations today, urging the Environmental Protection Agency to dramatically reduce the massive levels of pollution dumped by agribusiness facilities into America’s waterways. The comments are in response to the agency’s decision not to update permit standards for meat and poultry plants -- despite the Clean Water Act’s requirement to do so.
PITTSBURGH -- President Donald Trump spoke today in support of fracking and petrochemicals at the Shale Insight conference, a two-day event featuring regional fracking industry associations. This comes after a visit on Aug. 13, 2019 to the massive Royal Dutch Shell petrochemical plant being built in Pittsburgh’s northern suburbs, which will convert fracked gas into plastic.
